Introducing PracticeTee

I am excited to announce a new iPhone application from TeeShot Software.

PracticeTee lets you get the most out of your golf practice time. Whether you are at the driving range, putting green, or practicing your short game in a practice bunker, PracticeTee lets you track all of your shots and then provides detailed statistics that help you look for weaknesses and see how you are progressing.

Trying out some new clubs? Use PracticeTee to see how you do with each one and make it easier to figure out which of those sweet new drivers should be the new big dog in your bag.

Check out some screenshots from the new application.

The primary goal of PracticeTee is to help golfers who are looking to get a little more out of their practice sessions.  Now you can track information about your shots and see how your practice changes over time.  Of course, you don’t need to enter all of the information for every shot — just enter what you want — but tracking your practice over time will give you a great picture of where your strengths and weaknesses are for each club in your bag and help you practice smarter.

PracticeTee will be available in the iTunes Application store soon for $8.99.  While it was uploaded to the store today, we’re seeing it take about 10 days to 2 weeks to actually go public.

As always, feedback is welcome!

  1. haha, thanks for releasing this. you finally tell me what the secret new app is! haha. sounds like a good one. i will buy for sure. you were right. i will like this lol

  2. It is actually a ton of fun to play with, particularly when there’s a bunch of data in it. Each of the scores is color coded from red (bad) to blue (good) so you get some nice color feedback on the quality of your shots.

    :D

  3. Apple would want to get their act together with this review process thing. Apps should take a couple of days, no longer. This two weeks wait are ridiculous, and very un-Apple like. They should be ashamed of what’s being happening in the company lately. One **** up after another.

P.S. Good work on the app Chris. I don’t think it’ll buy it but it looks nice and should be useful to many people.

  4. I think this apps is great but I think it there is so much and kind of overwhelming for the person who is just practicing trying to fill in all the information here. But good luck though Chris, I am also passing on this one for now.

  5. I will certainly buy it since i’m such an iphone apps whore……that and i enjoy teeshot so much and would purchase this to support your endeavors, but to be honest i’m not sure how much use i could possibly get out of it, if any. when i’m at the driving range, i certainly won’t be pausing after every swing of the club or driver to record approximate distances. i don’t think anyone would really………considering that most of us only use about 13 or so clubs (irons/woods/wedges/drivers) etc. and we have a rough estimate of our range with each club (i mean how diffficult is it to remember 13 or so pieces of data, i.e. yardages), i don’t see how recording every shot or every few shots will be of any use

  6. Great App I just got it from AppStore.
May be it is not that usable for the low handicapper but it is very usable for me as a beginner. In my driving range session I usually hit 80-100 balls with only 2-3 clubs per session.
So it is very usable to know how am I doing with each club and what’s my average distance with each club.
